The Boathouse

“The Boathouse” is a snug and comfortable cabin located on its own 1 acre lake hidden away on our 650 acre estate, fully refurbished MARCH 2024.

There is an information pack provided with useful facts, rules and also a map of the whole estate.

NOW COMPLETELY REFURBISHED, it is cosily furnished including a double sofa bed, purpose built fitted kitchen, leather chairs etc.

It is possible to accommodate a 3rd person by request or 2 small children.

There are kitchen facilities including gas hobs, fridge with freezer box, kettle, toaster, microwave, oven and grill, freezer box. Also bait fridge .

The decking extends over the water and you have the whole 1 acre lake and surroundings entirely to yourselves in total privacy.

There is lots of garden furniture provided also sun lounger as well as a charcoal barbecue.

The cabin is ideal for a holiday to get away for a chance to relax, a romantic break, to explore the beautiful countryside, chill out totally, or do some fishing on the well-stocked lake.

Bedding, towels, toilet rolls, toiletries, bin bags, cutlery, pots and pans are all provided.

Due to the Cabin’s, proximity to the water and the loft bedroom, all children must be under strict adult supervision at all times.

Dogs:

Up to 2 dogs are welcome free of charge.

Fishing:

The 1 acre lake, extended in 1991, is very well stocked with Carp to 28lbs, Common , Mirror, Ghost Koi and an original breed of Herefordshire Wild Carp, also Tench and Perch. It provides great pleasure fishing with fish regularly caught over 20 lbs.

There is a rowing boat on the lake free of charge with lifejackets included for safety.

Walking:

There is a wealth of local footpaths and walking trails, as well as being able to walk across the whole 600 acre estate.

Prices:

Late 2023/2024 - from £190 per night for 2 people.

Late 2023/2024 - £70 per extra person/night. Half price for under 12s.

2 night minimum stay.

Check in is at 2pm with departure 12 noon.

Please be advised when booking to leave a gap of at least 2 days which is our minimum booking period, or no gap at all.

PLEASE NOTE PRICES LISTED ARE FOR 2 PEOPLE, IF YOU REQUIRE MORE GUESTS PLEASE REMEMBER THEY ARE CHARGED.

Please ensure you use the same name for payment as the booking.

Please note we take 50% up front as a booking deposit.

Cancellation Policy – . A full refund will be granted with 2 months notice of cancellation, 50% will be refunded with 1 month notice.

Please ensure you have full comprehensive travel insurance for your booking to protect yourself against unforeseen circumstances, as we cannot offer refunds after these periods if the customer chooses to cancel.
