The Outpost

“The Outpost” is our oldest most mature fishing lake, constructed in 1972, in our secluded location providing many specimen fish, see gallery photos.

The Outpost, has been completely refurbished in Spring 2022, it has a double bed, 2 seater reclining sofa, full toilet and shower facilities with purpose built kitchen, including fridge, twin gas hobs and sink along with a gas BBQ.

The decking extends over the water and you have the whole lake and surroundings entirely to yourselves in total privacy.

The cabin is ideal for a holiday to get away for a chance to relax, a romantic break, to explore the beautiful countryside, chill out totally, or do some fishing on the well-stocked lake.

There is garden furniture provided as well as a charcoal barbecue.

Bedding, towels, toilet rolls, toiletries, bin bags, cutlery, pots and pans are all provided.

There is an information pack provided with useful facts, rules and also a map of the whole estate.

Due to the Cabin’s, proximity to the water we only allow children under strict adult supervision.

Please park on the hard standing , do not drive round the pool.

Dogs:

Up to 2 dogs are welcome free of charge.

Fishing:

The 2 acre lake contains specimen Carp to 29lbs, Ghost Koi, Mirror& Common Carp. It also has a few Roach, Tench and a few Perch & Chub. It is very well stocked with hard fighting semi-wild carp, please tackle up as many of these fish take anglers by surprise as they charge for and find the nearest snag. The lake is 10-11 feet at the deepest point, bath shaped with a shelf around the margins and has various lily beds. The season’s best is a 27.9lbs Common Carp.

There is a rowing boat on the lake free of charge with lifejackets included for safety.

Walking:

There is a wealth of local footpaths and walking trails, as well as being able to walk across the whole 600 acre estate, map provided.

Prices:

Late 2023/2024 – from £200 per night for 2 people.

It is possible to accomodate a 3rd person by request or 2 small children.

Late 2023/2024 - £70 per extra person/night. Half price for under 12s.

2 night minimum stay.

Check in is at 2pm with departure 12:00.

Please be advised when booking to leave a gap of at least 2 days which is our minimum booking period, or no gap at all.

PLEASE NOTE PRICES LISTED ARE FOR 2 PEOPLE, IF YOU REQUIRE MORE GUESTS PLEASE REMEMBER THEY ARE CHARGED.

Please ensure you use the same name for payment as the booking.

Please note we take 50% up front as a booking deposit 100% IF LESS THAN A MONTH AHEAD.

Cancellation Policy – A full refund will be granted with 2 months notice of cancellation, 50% will be refunded with 1 month notice.

Please ensure you have full comprehensive travel insurance for your booking to protect yourself against unforeseen circumstances, as we cannot offer refunds after these periods if the customer chooses to cancel.
